Summary

This tool combines modeled residual value behavior and modeled repair cost behavior to identify the ownership age with the minimum cost per hour. It includes both the classic optimum ownership model and a total cost model, using coefficients generated from the EMRV and RPL data-method tabs. It applies a color scale to show where assets sit relative to the optimum ownership period. Use it to support replacement timing, rate assumptions, and policy decisions using modeled economics instead of intuition.
